Observer - Film of the Week ****

Anarchic coming-of-age comedy from the BAFTA award winning creators of The Inbetweeners, starring Joe Thomas, Hammed Animashaun, Claudia O’Doherty, Jemaine Clement and Hannah Tointon. Directed by Iain Morris. (The Inbetweeners, Time Bandits)

Nick (Joe Thomas), a recent university graduate who is struggling to cope with the end of his relationship and the uncertainty of his future. In an attempt to escape his troubles, Nick is persuaded by his best friend, Shane, to attend a wild and chaotic music festival.

As the festival weekend unfolds, Nick and Shane experience an uproarious series of misadventures, from awkward encounters to outrageous party moments, all while navigating the madness of festival life. Along the way, Nick begins to discover more about himself and starts to confront his personal issues, finding that perhaps the freedom and chaos of the festival are just what he needed to move forward.

Filled with outrageous humor, heart, and a dash of coming-of-age charm, The festival is a high-energy comedy perfect for anyone who’s ever experienced the mayhem of a music festival or been at a crossroads in their life.
